I have been creating art for the past 25 years. I received 4 years of training at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia, initially engaged in painting and printmaking. In the academy, I developed a single painting based on the experience I learned through painting; so that the printed matter has the saturated colors of painting. For the past 20 years, I have lived in 85 acres of woodland in upstate New York.
Surrounded by nature with my husband, son, two parrots and two dogs. Animal are a big part of my life. In addition to collecting animal specimens in my own studio, I also painted for a few hours at the Cornell Ornithology Laboratory and various natural history museums. Painting is essential to the development of art-to observe the world and engage in dialogue with the world through art.
